Lamar State College Workforce Partnership Day

On Monday, July 6, 2026, join us for a focused day of collaboration designed to strengthen connections between secondary education and higher education through workforce-aligned dual credit programming.

This event brings together educators, administrators, and embedded dual credit faculty to expand opportunities for students to earn college credit while completing high school career and technical education programs.

We are offering two targeted sessions to meet the needs of both current and prospective partners. Please, review the details below and register here.  ​

This working session is designed exclusively for educators currently teaching embedded dual credit courses with Lamar State College. Faculty will receive updates, alignment guidance, compliance reminders, instructional support, and time for collaboration. The focus will be on strengthening program quality, ensuring consistency across campuses, and supporting student success in workforce programs.

4 Hour CPE Certificate Issued for Attendees

This session is open to all secondary educators and administrators interested in learning how to partner with Lamar State College to offer workforce education programs, including cosmetology and barbering, for college credit on a secondary campus.

Participants will learn about:

  • Partnership requirements and approval processes

  • Credentialing expectations for instructors

  • Program structure and compliance

  • Student eligibility and enrollment

  • Benefits of offering college credit in high-demand workforce fields

Whether you are expanding an existing program or exploring dual credit for the first time, this session provides a clear pathway for building sustainable, workforce-aligned partnerships that benefit students, schools, and the regional economy.
